This is Gore’s newest winter rain jacket. The jacket's main material is Gore-Tex, a classic brand that’s the best waterproof and breathable fabric around.

Visibility is excellent, as you can see, so it’s great on gloomy days. The high vis details go as far as the cuffs, meaning signalling in traffic is more easily seen too. The sleeves also have long cuff zips for breathability.

The tail on the test model kept riding up, but this was a pre-production issue, so versions on sale to the public shouldn't suffer from this. A great design feature is a nice leather tab on the collar for biting when doing your zip up.

In reality, we only really chose the Gore Oxygen jacket for wet-weather riding. There aren’t any jacket pockets, but huge zips on the back make jersey access very easy, so you’ll need to wear one. This is easily one of the best jackets around for purely wet weather cycling.
