New rounds in Edinburgh and Jersey sit alongside existing favourites, Cycling Weekly understands
Is this the complete 2014 Pearl Izumi Tour Series schedule?
Thus far, only Redditch (round seven) and the finale in Jersey (round 10) have officially been confirmed by organiser SweetSpot.
However, ahead of the national launch on February 27, Cycling Weekly understands this is how the line-up of races looks.
If correct, Stoke-on-Trent and Woking will maintain their 100 per cent record of appearing in the event since its inception in 2009. Peterborough will return after missing the 2013 series, while new addition Edinburgh ensures Scotland has a presence in the event for the third-consecutive year.
Round two, believed to be at a new host venue in the north west, is subject to confirmation.
A Tour Series spokesman declined to comment, adding: “We look forward to announcing the full list of venues at our national launch at the end of the month.”
For the record, CW correctly predicted eight and nine of the 11 host venues for the 2012 and 2013 events respectively in advance.
However, if the addition of a team trial stage for the past two years is anything to go by, expect SweetSpot to throw in some surprises for riders and fans alike.
