Tour de France and Olympic time trial champion Bradley Wiggins and road race World Champion Mark Cavendish have been selected for the Tour of Denmark and – according to the race’s organiser – the Tour of Britain.
Sky has now confirmed its line-up for the Tour of Denmark (August 22-26), and riding alongside Wiggins and Cavendish will be British team pursuit Olympic gold medallists Peter Kennaugh and Geraint Thomas making their re-entry into the world of road racing.

They will be joined in Denmark in Sky’s line-up by fellow Brit Luke Rowe, Australian Michael Rogers, Italian stagiaire Davide Martinelli and Norwegian Lars-Petter Nordhaug.
Tour of Britain race director Mick Bennett also hinted last week that Wiggins and Cavendish would ride the 2012 event in September, although Sky has yet to officially announce its roster for the UK stage race. The Tour of Britain runs from September 9-16.
Tour de France and 2011 Vuelta a Espana runner-up and Olympic time trial bronze medallist Chris Froome will lead Sky’s team at the 2012 Vuelta starting this weekend – his first stint as outright team leader in a Grand Tour.
