Comfy bib tights that are perfect for cold weather riding
Made from a super soft thermal Roubaix fleece, the Hoy Vulpine Women’s Roubaix bib tights proved incredibly warm down to minus two degrees and comfortable, with zero irritation thanks to seams being kept to a minimum, and where they were flat locked sewn.
At first glance the integrated CyTech pad looks on the basic side, pad looks on the basic side, but in practice proved spot on, and stayed put all ride, thanks to the close fitting bib construction. Made from the same Roubaix fleece, the tight upper also acts as an additional layer, but while preventing any drafty torso gaps, your thermal baselayer selection will need to be on the low profile side in order to fit underneath.

Reflective detailing on the mid calf (so as not to be obscured by overshoes) is a nice touch, making these a good night ride option. With no zips or foot-loops, the stretchy legs are a good fit for most calf sizes, although based on a 30” leg, in all sizes, it was an inch or so short of ideal for me. Using overshoes would ensure ankles are still kept warm, but something to consider if pairing with winter boots
Available in XS to XL, the Hoy Vulpine Women’s Roubaix bib tights come up slightly large, so it might be worth going down a size.
