The best bike computers now pack a lot of power and are loaded with features way beyond just tracking your ride, with some nearing the capability of a smartphone. They can amass vast amounts of data about your ride to be analysed on the move or at home on one of the many best cycling apps.

The latest computers are packed with features and technology that most users will never find a use for. Take the Garmin Edge 1050, a sim card short of being a smartphone, it will now let you pay for your mid-ride coffee and even has an electronic bell. More basic options come backed with plenty of training features and include connecting to your phone for alerts, heart rate monitors and power meters.

Hannah was a successful road and track racer herself, competing in UCI races all over Europe as well as in China, Pakistan and New Zealand.

For fun, she's ridden LEJOG unaided, a lap of Majorca in a day, won a 24-hour mountain bike race and tackled famous mountain passes in the French Alps, Pyrenees, Dolomites and Himalayas.

She lives just outside the Peak District National Park near Manchester UK with her partner, daughter and a small but beautifully formed bike collection.
