Zabriskie's car found, other items still missing
Police have found one of David Zabriskie's stolen cars after the Garmin-Slipstream rider suffered an almost complete clear-out of his house by thieves during the Tour of California last week.
The burglars broke into the Salt Lake City home of Zabriskie whilst he was riding in the Tour of California, and made off with his bikes, two cars, computer equipment, race trophies and memorabilia. The items taken have been valued at US$250,000 (over £175,000).
According to a report filed by the Associated Press on Thursday night, a Salt Lake City police gang unit spotted the stolen car while on a stake-out. None of Zabriskie's other missing items were found at the scene.

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, an exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
