Everything you need to know about Black Friday Bike Deals

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday 2025 will be on 28th October and will be followed by Cyber Monday on 1st December. However, this doesn't specifically mean the best deals are just over the Thanksgiving weekend. Sales start now, in late October and early November, and generally run until Christmas, with deals throughout the period.

When is the best time for deals on bikes and cycling kit?

Great deals on bikes, clothing, and equipment are now available year-round, and we post them throughout.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are certainly when we see the most widespread discounting, as almost all retailers participate, but it is not always the time of year we see the lowest prices. It's worth checking out our little guide below to get the best deals and top shopping tips.

We also see sales and deals around significant holidays, where you'll find plenty of deals on UK bank Holidays, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and of course Amazon Prime Days.

Where can I get the best deals?

Here, of course! The Cycling Weekly deal hunting experts devote almost all of November and December to bringing you the best cycling deals from across the internet.

We post deals from all the major retailers across the US and UK, and almost all will make it to this page, our hub for the shopping period. If we feel a deal is outstanding or needs more attention, it will get its spotlight on the home page.

We will be updating our hubs and deals pages regularly, with many being updated several times per day throughout the holiday period.

How does Cycling Weekly select product?

During periods of big cycling deals like Amazon Prime Days or Black Friday, we will feature discounts on products we have yet to test. However, where possible, we focus on and highlight the ones we have tested and rated highly.

For those yet to be tested, we use our judgment, expertise, and experience to determine what constitutes a good deal and whether it is worth recommending. You can find out more about how we select and test products here.

Tips for getting the best bike deals this Black Friday

  1. Shop using Gift Cards - Dig out old unused gift cards from birthdays or even last Christmas. Now is an ideal time to use them before they expire or if you don't have the cash.
  2. Shop Around - This is an obvious one, you can only find the best deals if you know what everyone is offering.
  3. Check the price - If you are shopping on Amazon this autumn check out camelcamelcamel, they track millions of Amazon prices. The tool will tell you the lowest price the item has been and if it was put up before the event. This way you know if it's a good deal or not.
  4. Read the reviews and do your research - Reviews can be an easy way to spot a good deal. Firstly, make sure your check our reviews, and if we have tested that product, if not, here are our 8 ways to spot if you can trust reviews on retailers websites:
    1. Check to see recent reviews and see if anyone mentions big discounts or a lower RRP.
    2. If a product only has five-star reviews, it's likely not true.
    3. Lack of detail in reviews and vague praise could mean bots or the retailer posting fake reviews.
    4. Generic review titles like “Nice product” or simply “Awesome”. It's hard to judge this, but if the reviews are all in this style, it's worth questioning.
    5. Look for recurring poor grammar and spelling mistakes, this could mean reviews are all written by one person.
    6. Multiple reviews on a specific date (especially if there are long gaps between them).
    7. Check the brand's website, does the brand seem legitimate and do they make other things that might have been reviewed?
    8. Finally, check the seller's other items listings and reviews for patterns.
