Bike Repair and Maintenance for Dummies review

Bicycle Repair for Dummies, bicycle maintenance books
Cycling Weekly Verdict

A valuable read for total newcomers but it's too general to give detailed information, particularly on some of the newer bike standards.

Reasons to avoid

    Jovial style may irritate some

As the name suggests, this book assumes no previous knowledge whatsoever and is more suitable as a beginner's guide to work through from the start, rather than hitting a particular chapter for a quick guide to a certain issue.

It's very easy to read and digestible and total beginners will benefit from a good read through for ‘instant expert' status.

The Americanised writing style and cheeky subheads will amuse some but irritate others.
