- As title suggests, this is a good guide for beginners
- Fun writing style
- Jovial style may irritate some

As the name suggests, this book assumes no previous knowledge whatsoever and is more suitable as a beginner’s guide to work through from the start, rather than hitting a particular chapter for a quick guide to a certain issue.
It’s very easy to read and digestible and total beginners will benefit from a good read through for ‘instant expert’ status.

The Americanised writing style and cheeky subheads will amuse some but irritate others.
A valuable read for total newcomers but it's too general to give detailed information, particularly on some of the newer bike standards.
