The Volta a Catalunya continues on Tuesday with stage two’s key team time trial from Banyoles to Banyoles.
The long and undulating 41.3-kilometre test against the clock could see general classification contenders gain or lose significant amounts of time over their rivals.

Most teams will be mindful of the disaster that befell Team Sky during the opening stage of Tirreno-Adriatico, where the disintegrating wheel of team-mate Gianni Moscon saw Geraint Thomas effectively lose the race before it had even begun.
Stage one winner Davide Cimolai (FDJ) goes into the TTT as overall leader, but few will expect the Italian to keep hold of the leader’s jersey.
Cimolai’s FDJ squad are last off, with Soul Brasil the first team to leave the start gate at 2.53pm local time (1.53pm UK time). The 25 teams are set off at three-minute intervals.
TTT specialists BMC Racing are eighth squad off at 3.14pm, and could very well set the day’s quickest time. They are the team to beat.
The WorldTour-level Volta a Catalunya concludes on Sunday, March 26.
