Cyclist seriously injured after collision with car in Hampshire

Male cyclist suffers serious head injuries after collision with car on a roundabout in Havant on Saturday. Police appeal for witnesses

A 61-year-old male cyclist suffered severe head injuries after being involved in a collision with a car on a roundabout in Havant, Hampshire, on Saturday.

The man was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment after the collision with a silver Toyota Auris on the roundabout near Havant’s Civic Centre at around 8.15pm on Saturday evening (November 28).

He remains in hospital. The car driver – a 50-year-old woman – was uninjured.

Hampshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. Anyone with information should contact Sergeant Wayne Voller at the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting ‘Operation Parcel’.
