Niki Terpstra (Omega Pharma-QuickStep) was disqualified from the Eneco Tour after engaging in a shoving match with Belkin’s Maarten Wynants during the final day of the 2014 Eneco Tour.
Terpstra admitted responsibility for the incident, which led to him losing his seventh place overall. The 2014 Paris-Roubaix winner later published an apology:

“I am sorry for my action,” Terpstra said on his Facebook page.
“I want to apologise first to Maarten Wynants and Team Belkin, because I put them and other riders in danger with my actions and that’s something I don’t want to do in the peloton.
“Also I want to apologise to my team mates who worked for me during the week. The whole Eneco Tour they helped me, but in the end it was for nothing because of this stupid action.”
Guillaume Van Keirsbulck takes final stage victory; Geraint Thomas sixth overall
