The Giordana Donna Silverline Windtex is a good-fitting jacket that offers impressive protection from the wind and a sleek design. Three large pockets offer plenty of storage space, but we'd like to see a zipped pocket for the price.
No zipped compartments
While we’ve found that most Giordana ladies’ garments are designed to offer a very tight, form-fitting cut, Giordana Donna Silverline Windtex is rather more generous. Not everyone is a fan of spray-on kit and the fit of this winter jacket not only allows room to breathe but also means you can comfortably fit other layers underneath it to allow fine-tuning to the conditions.
If you’re combining it with only a thin top, and are a fan of the skinny-fit look, we’d suggest you could go down a size. The stealthy black design is attractive and offers reflective details on the back — a neat touch and crucial on dark garments for this time of year.
Three large pockets reside on the rear giving plenty of room for a pump and other essentials. We would have liked a zipped compartment for valuables, however, for that extra peace of mind over bumpy roads.
The ‘three-layer bonded’ material across the front was extremely effective at keeping the wind and cold out on the coldest of days but with a lightweight feel and lack of bulk that won’t weigh you down. This fabric, combined with the high neck and snug cuffs kept us incredibly warm on the chilliest rides.
