Rather than have a self-adjusting head for valve types, or a couple of openings next to each other, the Topeak has perpendicular valve openings either side of a T-shaped head.
A rotating lever effectively locks off any potential for air escaping from the unused hole.
Over the years we have seen this head prove its longevity, along with the fixing between the base and barrel.
At 22 strokes, the inflation rate is up there with the best too.
The hose is pretty short but a flexible mount negates some of the access issues. The large head can foul some tightly spokes wheels but the Joe Blow's famed performance continues with the Max HP.
