Our expanding web team needs a writer and a picture researcher

Cycling Weekly’s website is growing fast, and so is our team. We’re looking for a writer and a picture researcher to join us as we continue to expand.

About the roles

Junior Writer
This person will integrate new and existing content to create strong articles across the site. Responsibilities will include uploading and formatting content for the web, writing news and features and seeking out new stories and opportunities for the site.

The successful candidate will be keen to work in a busy environment focused on creative thinking and quickfire delivery. He or she will be interested in working online, and be knowledgeable or ready to learn about social media, search engine optimisation and what makes our online audience tick. Knowledge of road cycling would be a big advantage.

Picture researcher
This person will find great images from our archive and elsewhere to accompany our stories. They will scour our extensive library to find new ideas, features and galleries that will have our readers engrossed and social media buzzing.

The successful candidate will be motivated by seeking out and identifying high-quality imagery that packs a visual and emotional punch. He or she will need to be well-organised and capable of working quickly and effectively. Knowledge of road cycling is a definite advantage.
