At the Cycle Show you get the chance to look at some top end bikes including the aesthetically pleasing De Rosa SK Pininfarina

If you want to get up close and personal with some seriously impressive bikes then make your way to the Cycle Show at Birmingham’s NEC arena. From September 25 to 27 you can attend the UK’s largest cycle exhibition. This year’s event is hosting around 280 exhibitors across all elements of cycling.

De Rosa SK Pininfarina

The De Rosa SK Pininfarina has internally routed cables

We were lucky to get a detailed look at this fine looking steed at Eurobike. For some it will be the headline act of the show.

As its name suggests it is the culmination of a joint effort from De Rosa and the Pininfarina car design brand. Visually the bike is sleek and the ability to match the wheel decals with the frame’s paint job is a nice touch. However, it isn’t just style over substance, De Rosa is keen to emphasise its development of better materials to add rigidity without compromising comfort. Reflecting its exclusive nature we’re still waiting for the RRP to be confirmed.

If the De Rosa is not your kind of bike there are many other bikes on show to keep you interested. Just to whet your appetite, below are a few top end bikes that will be in attendance:

VAARU Octane 6-4

The VAARU Octane 6-4 uses 6AL/4V grade titanium

The relatively new company based in Chichester, West Sussex, is showing off its high end titanium bikes at the Cycle Show for the first time. Owner James Beresford prides himself on not letting cost get in the way of producing top quality bikes. The Octane 6-4 is a prime example of this — its frame is made from grade five 6AL/4V titanium and it comes equipped high end componentry such as Dura Ace mechanical groupset, a Rotor NoQ chainset, PRO stealth carbon bars/stem and Reynolds Assault carbon wheels.
