DT has always been renowned for its 240 hubs, which are light and reliable, but its wheel range has always been a little sparse in comparison to its competitors. DT has now added to its range the RR1850. As with all DT products the name has been given to the wheels in accordance with their weight, which DT claim is 1,850g.

Designed as DT?s first deep-section wheelset, 240 hubs are laced with DT?s new sandblasted Aero spokes (with 20 in the front and 24 in the rear) to the new RR1.2 rim. The new rim has a 31mm deep section and uses DT?s SBWT (Strength Boost Weld Technology), a process that uses two sleeves that sit in the profile of the rim join, fusing together when welded to create a stronger joint.

Two colour options are available: black with titanium-look sandblasted spokes, or white with black spokes.

Retail price will be £199 for the front and £250 for the rear in either colour.

I just had this set of wheels built and have only ridden on them a few times. So far I have nothing bad to say. The handle our rough roads great and seem to be faster/smoother than the Mavic kyserium eqips I use everyday. We will see what the season brings. I have them mainly for the few TT I do and I have not had an opportunity to really torque on them yet.
