Pearl Izumi has taken to Facebook to promote its newest pair of shoes, and they look awesome.
The photos are teases of what we can expect labelled “the wait is nearly over”, and they’ve got us very excited.

The company hasn’t revealed a huge amount, but what they do tease looks amazing. The first photo, labelled “the clock is ticking”, shows the black outer of a shoe and strip of neon material sitting on the seam, looking like a series of LED lights.
The second photo shows a little bit more of what we’re assuming is the same shoe.
This time we can see a sole, we don’t know if it’ll be carbon or not, and the cleat positioning system. Obviously the most eye catching thing is the colour surrounding the sole, and running down towards the heel. At the moment we’re assuming the material must be finished with a gloss that changes colour depending on the light.

At the top towards the toes there are also two vents to help with airflow to the bottom of the foot.
Hidden away in the shadows to the left is a second shoe, giving a clearer picture of the uppers. Here we can see two Boa dials, which suggests this will be a performance orientated shoe. There’s also a criss-crossed outer material which looks lightweight, but of course we don’t know what they’re like on the scales.
As of right now, Pearl Izumi is keeping quiet on the snazzy new slippers, but hopefully we can update the story soon.
