Campagnolo’s Pro Series Red Record Ergo Power shifters were only ever intended for the pros, but now Campagnolo is allowing a limited number to reach consumer hands.

Offering the same ergonomics, the difference lies in the red lettering and, more importantly, the shift. In the right shifter only a harder spring is used in the mechanism to give a sharper, stronger and clearer shift.

This is a clear preference that pro riders demand. If the appeal is the red lettering on the lever, however, the heavier shifting can be returned to the standard smooth shift by purchasing the lighter spring as a spare.

Availability of the Pro shifters will be with complete groupsets only, and with just 600 groups (worldwide), demand will be high. The likelihood is that the groups will be split and the shifters sold separately for the standard retail price of £229.99.
