EALING SAY THEIR ACCLAIMED CYCLE PROJECT FACES THE AXE

EALING Borough, acclaimed by the London Green Party for their ?Direct Support for Cycling Programme? say their project faces the axe if a £70,000 budget cut required by Transport for London (TfL) goes ahead.

Ealing?s cycling officer Bob Davies says: ?They (TfL) say that we don’t have a proper programme of Direct Support for Cycling, despite having run one successfully with TfL finance for a number of years.?

Cycling Weekly has learned that TfL take a dim view of Ealing using the money to pay Cycle Training UK Ltd instead of employing their own safety officers.
