For those who don't know, Black Friday is an American tradition and is the first Friday after Thanksgiving (this year, that's November 27).
It's regarded as the start of the Christmas shopping season with many retailers offering big discounts and special offers.
The good news is that this has spread across the pond and is now being adopted by British retailers too. We will be updating this page as more deals emerge, so stay tuned...
Wiggle is offering a different deal every day up until Black Friday. Today's deal is:
Elite Crono Hydro-Mag ElastoGel Trainer - £139.99 from £279.99
Just in time for the cold weather to make a session on the turbo a much more attractive proposition, Wiggle is offering 50% off this model which mixes fluid and magnetic resistance units for a realistic ride feel and works with third party software such as Zwift and TrainerRoad.
Not only does Evans Cycles have a pretty good "Spend & Save" offer (spend £60, get a £10 voucher; spend £100, get a £20 voucher) but it's also got some half-decent deals too.
Rapha Team Sky Training Jersey - £59.99 from £84.99
With Rapha's partnership with Team Sky ending at the end of 2016, this is the penultimate opportunity to grab a souvenir of a beautiful - and multi-Tour winning - relationship before they go their separate ways.
Garmin Edge 25 Cadence Bundle - £129.99 from £169.99
Garmin's smallest cycling GPS, launched earlier this year, comes packaged with a cadence sensor and lets you download your activities to Garmin Connect for later analysis.
Shimano Ultegra 6800 groupset - £414.99 from £999.99
Upgrade your ride to the latest version of Shimano's excellent Ultegra groupset, including brakes, at a bargain price. Price is for compact 50/34 only.
Scott Addict Team Issue 2015 - £3399.99 from £5699.00
The bike ridden in multiple grand tours in 2015 by IAM Cycling - and the same except for the colour scheme as Orica-GreenEdge's steeds - comes complete with Dura-Ace mechanicals and Syncros RL1.1 carbon clincher wheels.
Chain Reaction Cycles
CRC is also starting its Black Friday deals early and is offering different discounts each week throughout November. The online retailer says that it will be running 100 'incredible' offers each week, updated every Thursday.
Our pick of its deals for Thursday, November 19, are:
Mavic Aksium Elite wheelset - £129.99 from £220.00
Need a new set of winter training wheels? These Aksiums won't break the bank and come ready-shod with 25mm Yksion Elite Guard tyres.
Shimano Full Zip Jersey - £14.99 from £44.99
A jersey with a famous name marked down by 67%, this is still available in lots of sizes and in blue or yellow. It's got factor 50 sun protection if we ever see the sun again and low light reflectives if we don't.
3T Ionic 25 alloy seatpost - £24.99 from £79.99
A touch of pro styling from a quality brand, this Ionic seatpost comes with a 25mm setback and is available in 27.2mm or 31.6mm widths to suit most road frames.
CrankBrothers B14 multitool - £9.99 from £23.99
Fettle away to your heart's content with this quality multitool. As you'd expect, it's got a selection of 14 allen keys, torx bits and screwdrivers. It should be durable as it's stainless steel, weighing in at a claimed 206 grams.
Lezyne Mini Drive XL 250L Front Light - £39.99 from £69.99
With 250 lumens output and a 2 hour charge time and weighing 85 grams this light is compact enough to live on your bars year-round and gives enough light output to get you noticed.
Scott Solace 10 - £1,999 from £3,599
A bike with full Shimano Dura-Ace for under two grand? It's hard to argue with that, especially seeing as under the skin this 2014 Scott Solace is the same as this year's model.
POC Octal helmet - £99 from £195
Probably the most fashionable helmet in the peloton, the POC Octal offers great ventilation and an impressively low weight at only 200g for a size medium.
Genesis Croix de Fer 20 - £799 from £1,199
One of the most versatile bikes on the market, with a bombproof steel frame, TRP disc brakes, eyelets for mudguards and pannier racks, and wide 35mm tyres - perfect for any sort of riding and any road you throw at it.
Charlie the Bike Monger
Salsa Warbird 3 Gravel Bike - £949.99 from £1599.99
If you want just one bike to deal with whatever riding you want to do, then the Salsa Warbird 3 gravel bike looks like a tasty option with its aluminium frame and carbon fork combined with a Shimano Sora groupset for what looks like an impressive bike.
Portland Design Works Full Metal Fenders Set - £64.99 from £99.99
Mudguards are absolutely essential addition to your bike for winter. Made from aluminium they're much more sturdy than most clip-on mudguards and should give plenty of clearance even if you're running 28mm tyres during the winter.
